British-American computer scientist and technology entrepreneur Andrew Yan-Tak Ng specializes in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. As the former Chief Scientist of Baidu, Ng led the company's Artificial Intelligence Group, which now employs thousands of people. He was also a cofounder and the head of Google Brain.
Ng, a former associate professor and director of Stanford University's Stanford AI Lab, or SAIL, is now an adjunct professor there. Ng has also been involved in the online education space, having cofounded DeepLearning.AI and Coursera. Through his online classes, he has taught more than 8 million students, leading numerous initiatives to "democratize deep learning."
